About Mama Love
I created Mama Love after I had my daughter Emma. I was 39 and a new mother. I struggled. Like many new moms, I was exhausted, overwhelmed, sleep deprived and needed to figure out how to care for my precious little baby. After a C-section birth, the challenges of breastfeeding, and debilitating postpartum anxiety I was not feeling like myself. I wondered how I would make it through such a difficult time.
What was happening to me?
Luckily, with my background in Chinese Medicine, Integrative Medicine, nutrition and movement therapies I became aware of what was going on and how depleted I had become. Everyone is different, but what I found to be most healing and helpful during that time was acupuncture, herbal medicine, and support from other moms who had been through similar experiences. New moms need the support of others who could listen, be supportive and encouraging, without judging.
The more I was open and honest about my experience, the more I found other women willing to talk about their similar experiences. It was a rough start, but I’m madly in love with my daughter and couldn’t imagine my life without her.
Shortly after I returned to work, I a felt strong connection to a new purpose, making a decision to focus a portion of my practice on nurturing new mothers, helping them to restore balance through acupuncture, natural medicine, and nutrition.
I know how difficult it can be to take care of yourself or even leave the house. So I bring Mama Love to you to launch this powerful new chapter in your life in a nurturing, healthy, and grounded way. I bring guidance and coaching in addition to the acupuncture and other healing modalities. Check out the full list of services.
All new moms deserve a Mama Love house call.
